Australia has a very dynamic health care system that is constantly under cost pressures due to our ageing population, increases in preventable diseases and the need to retain trained health care professionals in the system.
Global trends of direct-to-consumer health care is enabling the development of highly sophisticated consumers who want to take charge of their health. Electronic evolution is moving beyond informational websites and towards ongoing personalised interaction with much higher requirements for relevance and engagement.
The Australian format of PharmaSave evolved from this background, with the direct feedback from both suppliers and pharmacists whose needs have not been fulfilled by existing banner group offerings.
PharmaSave’s network of retail pharmacies has grown dramatically with the network covering an increasingly large catchment area across Australia. Branded stores have been a focus for the group this year as has better retail locations in all states and stores types.
PharmaSave is confident that it will surpass 200 stores in the next 12 months with the continued lack of direction that has seen the demise of other retail pharmacy groups.
PharmaSave will stay focused on delivering better outcomes for its members by increasing store traffic with promotions and aligned in-store activity. Our website continues to grow in traffic along with our customers following us on twitter and uploading our iPhone application.
PharmaSave’s focus on delivering Care, Value and Service for its members and customers will has been highlighted by our support of the ‘I Give A Buck’ community program – visit www.igiveabuck.org.au for more information.
PharmaSave and its pharmacy partners want to be able to improve customer support and patient outcomes with more highly trained staff than any of our competitors.
